NEC’s five creativity and the arts courses have been designed to help you discover more about art and writing, and learn techniques to develop your own practice as an artist or writer. We offer courses in art history, art techniques, creative writing, writing short stories and writing for a living.
If you choose Art History, you will learn about major movements and figures in the art world in Europe between the 15th century and the present day, developing your understanding of the context in which works of art were created. If you want to develop your own drawing and painting skills, Art Techniques examines different artistic methods.
Our writing courses will teach you the techniques of professional writers, enabling you to produce polished and well-structured pieces of writing.
