The qualification you'll earn from this course is essential for anyone wishing to work as a registered home based childcarer. Covering topics such as health and safety, children's learning and development, day to day care routines and play, and the legislation and regulation relating to home based childcare, you'll learn everything you need to prepare you to set up a home based childcare business of your own, or to work in a home based childcare setting, for example as a childminding assistant, a nanny or an au pair. You’ll work through this course using the NEC Laser: an online learning system that makes completing your course – submitting your work, doing activities and getting feedback – straightforward and enjoyable. The system is easy to use and all the work you complete is recorded in your learner profile, forming an online portfolio. Full details of the course can be found below.

What our students say...
E-learning was convenient for me as I have a small child at home so going to college was impractical. When I had finished a task, I was able to carry on with the next one instantly as all the tasks are in your Laser right from the start so you know exactly what is coming next. This course means everything to my career! I would definitely consider doing another distance learning course with NEC.
