Continuing the relationship that began in 2021, the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) and NEC are once again collaborating to offer a 100% tuition fee bursary for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a current NEC A level student or a student who has completed their NEC A level course in the past 12 months to study a one-year, part-time Undergraduate Certificate with ICE. 

The Certificate course will commence in October 2024 and will finish in June 2025.

Courses

There are eight certificate courses to choose from as part of the NEC/ICE Bursary Scheme and most are open to anyone; you don’t need any specific academic qualifications to apply. 

The courses available to NEC/ICE bursary applicants for 2024-2025 are:

• Undergraduate Certificate in Classical Studies (Course code: 2425CCR001)
• Undergraduate Certificate in English Literature: Approaches to Literary Study (Course code: 2425CCR121)
• Undergraduate Certificate in History (Course code: 2425CCR055)
• Undergraduate Certificate in History of Art: Early Modern to Contemporary(Course code: 2425CCR087)
• Undergraduate Certificate In International Relations(Course code: 2425CCR876)
• Undergraduate Certificate in Philosophy: Metaphysics, Philosophy of Language and Ethics(Course code: 2425CCR750)
• Undergraduate Certificate in the Study of Medieval England (Course code: 2425CCR008)

Applicants should look at the details including delivery days and dates of the course that they are interested in. Each Certificate course will follow a different format.

Closing date for applications

If you wish to apply for the NEC-ICE Bursary Scheme for 2024-2025 you should firstly apply for your chosen course via the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education website here. Once you have applied for your course you will be informed about the bursaries available to you which are relevant to your course. 

Bursary applications should be submitted by Tuesday 11th June 2024. They will then be considered by an internal selection panel.
